"There's too many options!"
This week I talked with many operators in the same boat. AI paralysis is real... The landscape shifts so often. How can you choose a strategy or product when better options might come out next week?
This is something I know a thing or two about. I like to beta test tools and try new software. There is a push and pull to this. This is not an AI question it's a business strategy question.
I ask myself "What am I anchoring to?" Am I implementing a new core business process AI tool? Or is this a "bolt on" productivity/workflow booster?
(My hand is already cramping writing this on the remarkable.)
Core process decisions with AI are slow for me. Productivity boosters/workflows are fast decisions. I don't generally bet the house on something that "might work" unless the upside is huge.
Examples:
Guest Experience AI System = Long decision, lots of research, lots of testing.
In-house AI agents to track cleaning profitability = Shorter decision. If it fails no customers affected. Upside is TONS of time saved. Easy decision. Let’s build.
I'll leave you with a hack. Copy this email, give it to Claude, say:
"Go listen to my calls from my recorder this week and use what you know about me. How can I apply this framework to my decisions with AI right now?"
Short and sweet this week. Hope it helps.
Hand is cramping and mosquitos are biting, so I'm headed inside.
